Booking the perfect accommodation when visiting Disney World is now very convenient – you can go online and reserve a room in any of the dozens of Disney World Hotels within and near the area. There’s an option for virtually every budget and specification – all you need is a little research. Disney World Hotels can be categorized according to (a) the price of its rooms every night and (b) the different features and amenities each type offers.
For Deluxe Resorts, room prices start at $215 per night and go as high as more than $375 (or more) for up to five occupants. Mostly located in the Magic Kingdom theme park, these resorts offer motor coach and water launch transfers for its guests. Several Deluxe Resorts can be found in Epcot and Animal Kingdom.
Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Polynesian Resort, and Wilderness Lodge are the other deluxe accommodation in Magic Kingdom. The Contemporary Resort boasts of an ultramodern design with its monorail station located at the fourth floor. The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is Victorian-inspired and remembers the golden era of Florida, while the Polynesian Resort celebrates the tropical South Seas islands. The Wilderness Lodge imitates the National Park lodges of the Great American Northwest.
Epcot also houses several deluxe Disney World hotels. Beach Club Resort has a three-acre sand-bottom pool inspired by late 19th century New England. Boardwalk Inn has a boardwalk and lake, influenced by early 20th century Atlantic City. Finally, there’s the Yacht Club Resort, which carries a nautical team (ala-Martha’s Vineyard circa 1880)
Deluxe accommodation is also available in the Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is famous for its African-inspired cuisine and lodging amidst a wildlife reserve in 33-acre land.
Vacation Club Resorts
Epcot, Downtown Disney, and Magic Kingdom are home to Disney World’s array of Vacation Club Resorts. Beach Club Villas and Boardwalk Villas are both located in Epcot, with room rates starting at $315 per night. Boardwalk can accommodate up to 12 occupants, and Beach Club only allows eight. Each one has first-class features: Beach Club Villas has a white sand beach while Boardwalk has a whimsical waterfront design.
Both starting at $279, Downtown Disney’s Old Key West Resort and Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa are famous Disney World hotels because they are both located beside a lake Old Key West Resort has a pastel-colored façade and a Key West theme, while Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is inspired by classical Victorian architecture.
Magic Kingdom is also home to a vacation club resort. The Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge costs about $305 a night and aims to capture the spirit of the Pacific Northwest.
All the rooms of the Moderate Resorts start at $175. Dining choices include quick-service restaurants, special & unique dining, and casual dining.
The Caribbean Beach Resort is inside the Epcot theme park and is made up of five “villages” that show Caribbean influences in a 200-acre resort. Another moderate resort is in Animal Kingdom called Coronado Springs Resort and is Spanish-themed with Mexican and American Southwestern legends. Two of these types of Disney World accommodation are located in Downtown Disney: Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter and Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. The first celebrates the magic of the Mardi Gras while the second one portrays the genteel character of a Louisiana town along the Mississippi River.
The rooms in Value Resorts start at $82 and can usually occupy up to four persons. The dining services are provided by quick-service restaurants while their transportation is by motor coach.
Value Resorts include Pop Century Resort, located in Disney’s Wide World of Sports Area. There is also the All-Star Movies Resort in the Animal Kingdom.
