Disney World Orlando, vacations Disney World Orlando, Walt Disney World OrlandoThe city of Orlando, FL attracts forty million visitors every year because of its theme parks and other tourist destinations. The biggest crowd drawer among its theme parks is the Walt Disney World, which offers a variety of activities and performances featuring the company’s cartoon creations. Castle and Theme Parks The most visible structure in Orlando, FL’s Disney World is Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom theme park. Visitors stroll through Main Street U.S.A. before entering the said Castle. The three other theme parks are Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Animal Kingdom – all of which are unique. Magic Kingdom banks on the imagination of its audience as it offers interactive shows like “Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor”, “Mickey’s PhilharMagic”, and “The Haunted Mansion”. The Epcot exhibits different cultural heritages as well as the wonders of the world. The fireworks and musical extravagance of “IllumiNations: Reflections of the Earth” and a ride in the Imagination Institute opens its visitors’ eyes to a celebration of diversity. Disney-MGM Studios’ charm is inspired by the elegance and glamour of classic Hollywood. The elevator plunge of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror leaves its spectators screaming, just like the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster which rides to the tune of Aerosmith’s music. In Animal Kingdom, you can watch musicals such as Finding Nemo, The Lion King, and A Bug’s Life, and also the safari and a trip through river rapids.
Water Fun As Orlando, FL is embraced by a lake, Walt Disney World also has water theme parks. The Blizzard Beach Water Park and Typhoon Lagoon are the two cooling grounds of Disney World. Both feature waterslides – Blizzard Beach’s Slush Gusher and Typhoon Lagoon’s Humunga Kowabunga – that allow people to gain speed while approaching the pool’s bottom. For fans of inner-tube sports, Blizzard Beach offers a speed slide called ‘Downhill Double Dipper.’ For visitors who prefer a more relxed trip down the mountain, there is the Cross Country Creek. Typhoon Lagoon also caters to inner-tube enthusiasts – it offers ‘May Day Falls’ and ‘Castaway Creek.’ Typhoon Lagoon also has a ‘Surf Pool’ that provides one of the world’s largest artificial waves – great for both seasoned and novice surfers. NOTE: Please keep in mind that Blizzard Beach Water Park and Typhoon Lagoon may not be safe for young children. Not to worry, though – Disney World offers a safer variety. Ketchakiddee Creek is the scaled-down version of the park’s main water attractions. Like its bigger counterparts, Ketchakiddee Creek comes complete with fountains, geysers, slides, and a smaller scale white water rafting escapade for the young ones. The creek is designed for children 48 inches or shorter. Choosing your hotel There are a lot of accommodation options in Disney World Orlando, FL.
