Walt Disney World, Walt Disneyworld, Walt Disney World vacations

Real Walt Disney World vacations cannot be enjoyed in just a day – you need at least a weekend to really soak up the experience. The establishment boasts of four theme parks and two water parks – to enjoy them all without wasting time, you need to plan ahead. This guide should help you understand and map out your Walt Disney World vacations.

Theme Parks

Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom are the four theme parks you can enjoy in Walt Disney World vacations. You can choose to enjoy just one or all.

The Magic Kingdom Park offers an array of activities that tap its audience’s imagination: an interactive comedy showcase called “Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor”, a 3-D adventure with “Mickey’s PhilharMagic”, fire lasers at interactive targets in “Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin”, and walk through the halls of “The Haunted Mansion”. For the more adventurous, the rollercoaster ride Space Mountain can give an adrenaline rush. For nighttime entertainment, the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular provides a big and bright fireworks extravaganza.

The Epcot gives you a taste of the wonders of the world and other cultural celebrations through its must-see shows and rides. Nemo and his friends will take you to a trip through the ocean or have a Turtle Talk with Crush, after which you can explore uncharted territories in Mission: SPACE®. A 3-D feature called “Honey, I Shrunk the Audience” is available, while rides that lets you imitate a race track driver (“Test Track”) or have a “Journey Into Imagination with Figment” can also be enjoyed. And to cap off the night, the “IllumiNations: Reflections of the Earth” show is a fitting final number.

As its name implies, the Disney MGM-Studios is a tribute to great classic Hollywood films and the glamour attached to them. A 13-story elevator plunge is inspired by the Twilight Zone franchise, and Aerosmith provides the music for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Live entertainments of this theme park include a performance from the characters of Playhouse Disney, a Broadway-style production of “Beauty and the Beast”, and the tale of Ariel in “Voyage of The Little Mermaid”. Last but not the least in your itinerary is the musical special effects night show, “Fantasmic!”

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park is nature-oriented in its theme. Its live entertainments include musicals inspired by the movies Finding Nemo, The Lion King, and A Bug’s Life. Another event you can participate in is Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade. If you want something a little more thrilling, the Kiliminjaro Safaris®, DINOSAUR, and Kali River Rapids.

Water Parks

When you have had your fill of the rides and shows of the four theme parks, you can cool off in the two water parks that Walt Disney World vacations can provide. The Blizzard Beach Water Park features slippery slush, waterslides, and other attractions that can make your trip to the pool very exciting. For instance, the Downhill Double Dipper is an inner-tube speed slide that allows you to race to the bottom while the Teamboat Springs is for a relaxed trip down the mountains. For thrill seekers, the Slush Gusher is a big speed slide that strongly contrasts the calming inner tube activity offered by Cross Country Creek. And if you have children, you can let them enjoy a play area called Tike’s Creek.

The other water park, Typhoon Lagoon, promises the wettest and wildest water adventure with its numerous slides and the challenge of conquering one of the world’s largest artificial waves in Surf Pool. However, Typhoon Lagoon also offers recreational hobbies like Castaway Creek. May Day Falls is an inner-tube water slide that bends around the mountain, while Humunga Kowabunga is an enclosed 214-foot speed slide. And for the kids, the Ketchakiddee Creek has small-scale slides and fountains.

Walt Disney World has a variety of hotels that can fit any kind of budget. Usually good for up to five persons, bigger rooms in Disney World range from $82 to $315 per night. The price difference would depend on how exclusive the place is, as the higher priced accommodations have a lot more amenities like more dining and transportation choices. For instance, the Disney Vacation Club Resorts offer motor coaches, water launches, and walkways to its visitors while the Value Resorts only have motor coaches to transfer its customers from the hotel to the parks.
